Meet Our Director

Our Director Aimee has been working in Early Childhood and Development for over 15 years. She has over 10 years experience as a teacher and five years as an Early Intervention Teacher for a government agency. Aimee has completed multiple qualifications in early childhood and values continued education. She received the prestigious Linking Minds Scholarship which allowed her to travel to Wales to follow her interest in bi-cultural learning and learn about how this impacts child development. Aimee’s areas of interest include atypically developing children, bi-cultural practices, the relationship between children and nature, and simplicity parenting.

Aimee bought Kiwi Educare in 2020 to create a safe and nurturing environment for tamariki which would benefit from her experience and unique skill set. Her vision for the centre is to provide a fun, playful atmosphere which also fosters child growth and development. Aimee is married with four children and loves the great outdoors.

Our Teachers

The Kiwi Educare teaching team consists of qualified and non-qualified teachers who are completing their qualifications, with vast experience. We bring experience from many years of dedication to the education sector, including overseas teaching experience.

Kiwi Educare relievers are permanent employees who are well known to our Tamariki and Whanau and have each committed to varying types of qualifications.

Our teaching team hold Diplomas and Degrees in Early Childhood Education, as well as specialists with Post Graduate Diplomas in Early Intervention (Atypical development), and Diplomas in Child Protection.

Kiwi Educare ensures that every team member is a qualified first aider.

Our Centre is supported by a Distributed Leadership model allowing our team to develop specific areas of strength in leadership. We ensure that our team are following their education interests to ensure their passions continue to grow through supporting further education.

Right from our first visit, Kiwi Educare helped us feel so comfortable with the thought of someone else taking care of our son (which as a first time parent can be quite daunting!). All of the teachers were so warm and friendly and we very quickly made to feel part of the Kiwi Educare family. We love the regular updates we get on the Educa app of our son’s learning progress and growth and they were open to accommodating our cloth nappy needs as well which a lot of other centres said no to.
